Slogan:
Playing the music of Da Vinci
Tasting Note:
"Giacomo Neri has produced a very approachable wine in this warm vintage. The 2011 Brunello di Montalcino is plump and juicy with loads of dark fruit and mild spice at the back. It doesn't have the depth or complexity of the gorgeous 2010 vintage, but the wine does a very good job presenting the main traits you look for in Brunello. The fruit is lively and the acidity gives the wine a sense of buoyancy and brightness. The tannins are very well integrated. It doesn't reach Brunello greatness, but it is a good Brunello."

Overview:
CASANOVA DI NERI, the name Giovanni Neri gave the company in 1971, could be rearranged to form a number of Italian sentences that embody some of the deepest held beliefs about wine and winemaking.
While the famous lands of Chianti Classico were nearby, it was the "austerity of Sangiovese" in Montalcino. Today, the winery, now in its second and third generations, is renowned for its uncompromising quality and a series of iconic, 100-point scoring vintages. The Etichetta Bianca (or White Label) is a historical cornerstone of the estate, first produced in 1978 and known for its unwavering style. This Brunello is a multi-vineyard blend, a unique expression of the Sangiovese Grosso clone from Casanova di Neri's magnificent seven vineyards, which are distinguished by their diverse terroir, exposure, and microclimate.
