First cask
American Oak
Sixteen years of maturation in American Oak casks brings an abundance of vanilla spice and warm honey notes

Second cask
Pineau Cask
Finishing in Pineau casks brings energizing grapefruit, geranium, glazed fruit and ginger.

Cask Finished
A technique widely used in whisky today, but first created by our Honorary Ambassador and Former Malt Master David C. Stewart.

The result
Pineau des Charentes is a fortified wine made from unfermented grape juice, to which a Cognac eau-de-vie is added and then matured. Pineau is also found as a home-made product in the neighbouring Deau-Sevres and Vendee departements.
