"It is a unique Bordeaux-Rhone blend that consists of 90% Palmer fruit blended with 10% Northern RhÃ´ne - essentially 45% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Syrah. Like the 20.10 that was well received among many collectors, the 20.16 is another expression from a classic vintage in both Margaux and the Northern RhÃ´ne. It is elegance with depth that seems to capture the soft and welcoming fruit of Margaux combined with the spice and mineral side of the RhÃ´ne. We are talking nuances of juicy black fruit, plums, violets, a touch of black licorice, roasted meats, and spice."

The name chosen for this experimental batch, “Historical XIXth Century Wine”, is obviously a tribute to the great Bordeaux wines of the past and its many English roots. The blend of wines from different regions makes each wine lose its geographic origin and its status as a vintage from a specified region. According to wine regulations, or table wine must be written on the label, which can carry no reference to a specific origin.
