Overview:
The name of Château Moulin de la Rose is probably partially linked for the « Moulin » part to the presence of an old mill which was located on the site of the current estate. The other part « de la Rose » seems to originate from the name of the Knight Larose who was owner in the 18th century of the neighboring Grand Cru Classé, the Chateau Gruaud Larose. It was in 1971 that Guy Delon became the owner of Château Moulin de la Rose. Today, her fate is in the hands of her children Jean-François and Guylène. He is responsible for the technical part and she takes care of all the administrative part. This great family complementarity allows to obtain an optimal management efficiency. Like almost all the producers of the exceptional A.O.C Saint-Julien, Château Moulin de la Rose has been able to pass on and remain a family property that projects into the future. This requires investments, but also, as very recently, by significantly increasing the area with very well located and aged vines that blend perfectly with the rest of the vineyard.
